My Twitter Account

I'm now on Twitter in case you're interested:

www.twitter.com/stevejiva

For the uninitiated, Twitter is like a blog or message board with really short messages (less than 160 characters in length). It's used to update others about what you are doing, what you are thinking, things you think others should check out, etc.

In a way it embraces both the best and worst of technology...while it is yet another tool that keeps digital gizmos in our face, it does enable us to remain connected--to keep those who are interested in our lives in the loop. Twitter messages provide others with a slice of life, letting you know about where people are, what music they are listening to, what the weather's like. And while messages often border on banality, if it's someone you care about, banalities can be supremely endearing and entertaining.

The pandora box of complete Indian Education system need overhouling and it is great to see that you are creating an envoirnment for the same. I believe in you and your logical approach which is time tested with plathroa of experiances and ethical bent. India needs the revolution in education system to speed up to meet the demanding upcoming challenges yet not clear to so many leaders.

It may be possible that education system do identify your importance of your approach little late but please do not deter from your path of quality education as this the only way to lead the country , the society and businees envoirnment more efficiently and rightfully.

you may have to involve some commercial aspect to sustain for the continued efforts for the great cause.

Tripathiji,

Thanks for your kind words. Jiva was founded in 1992 and has been in full operation since 1994. So much has happened in all these years, but one thing is for sure: we've maintained true to our original goals.

At times it's been challenging because there have been opportunities that would have been lucrative, but would have forced us to deviate from our objectives. Some were grants or partnership deals worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. And we said no. Some people said, "What are you crazy? How could you let that deal go?"

But we have no regrets. I think you achieve much more in the long run when you identify your goals, and stick to them. There's no telling when popular success may come (and it might not even come in one's own lifetime). But if you keep changing your goals because popular or financial success isn't happening, it's likely that you'll never achieve much in any of your endeavors.

Yes, every organization needs funds to run. We have done our best to share as much as we can for free, but we've also created products and services that are of high quality/value, and at a reasonable price. For now, we feel we've figured out a good balance between "free" and "fee".

Again, tx for the encouraging words.

Best,
Steve
